Ever since I was a kid, I've loved St. Patrick's Day. I was very proud of my Irish heritage. (With a name like Murphy, how could I not be?) It was also my grandmother's birthday. She's been gone for several years. Unfortunately she never had the chance to read my writing. I like to think she's looking down at me and cheering me on.
